Congratulations to our 2nd year graduate students on their presentations in our first ever 2nd Year Symposium. The event offers the students an opportunity to present and receive feedback on the research for their theses/2nd year papers. Topics included experiences of Black women in healthcare, public education activism, LGBTQ+ victimhood, medical avoidance after incarceration, responses to masculinity challenges, Bangladeshi women's clothing decisions and racial gray zones. All of us in Sociology are proud of the effort and hard work Liv, Natalia, Ben, Dereika, Emily, Saifa and Maddy have been putting in!
