We would like to share that UGA Sociology's Dr. Sarah Shannon is the winner of this year’s Felton Jenkins, Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty Award for her sustained commitment and stellar contributions to teaching and student success. This is a University System wide award for the state of Georgia and UGA can nominate only a single person each year. This is the second time in three years Sarah has received the UGA nomination. UGA Sociology is now the proud home of 33% of all UGA winners of this award ever and 50% within the past decade as Dr. Shannon joins Dr. William Finlay (2015) as an award winner.
