Congratulations to Dr. Sarah Shannon and Dr. Diana Graizbord for being awarded ASA's Carla B. Howery Teaching Enhancement Fund grant this year. The Carla B. Howery Teaching Enhancement Fund provides small grants to support projects that advance the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) within the discipline of sociology. Sarah and Diana will use the funds to support the production and dissemination of a multimedia series on teaching sociological research methods as public sociology through their First Publics project. Content produced will include three informative webinars with sociologists covering topics such as the relevance of methodological knowledge, the challenges that accompany teaching methods during times of crisis, and how to increase public engagement through teaching methods. In addition, they will solicit original Reflections and Class Notes on creative and effective classroom activities for the First Publics site: https://thesocietypages.org/firstpublics/Reflections: https://thesocietypages.org/firstpublics/category/reflections/Class Notes: https://thesocietypages.org/firstpublics/category/class-notes/
