On Friday, April 11, the UGA – Griffin campus hosted the IDEA Symposium. This year’s symposium was entitled Singled Out No Longer: Narratives of Single Parenting. The Interdisciplinary Studies Program on the Griffin campus, which includes Psychology and Sociology, organized the event, with Dr. Matthew Peach, a Lecturer in our Department of Sociology, playing an important role. The symposium included research presentations from undergraduate students and informational sessions from a wide range of talented and dedicated practitioners. Attendees included members of the Griffin campus, the Griffin community, and beyond, including our Department Head, Dr. William Pridemore. In addition to Dr. Peach, many thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Dean (Assistant Provost and UGA Griffin Campus Director), Dr. Perry Buffington (Department of Psychology’s Lecturer on the Griffin campus), Faye Chatman UGA – the Griffin Interdisciplinary Studies Program Director), all the presenters, and all those who attended this great event! 2025 IDEA Image: Image: Image:
