On Friday, April 11, the UGA – Griffin campus hosted the IDEA Symposium. This year’s symposium was entitled Singled Out No Longer: Narratives of Single Parenting. The Interdisciplinary Studies Program on the Griffin campus, which includes Psychology and Sociology, organized the event, with Dr. Matthew Peach, a Lecturer in our Department of Sociology, playing an important role. The symposium included research presentations from undergraduate students and informational sessions from a wide range of talented and dedicated practitioners. Attendees included members of the Griffin campus, the Griffin community, and beyond, including our Department Head, Dr. William Pridemore.
